Update Huawei P20 Lite Android 9.0 Pie / EMUI 9.0, ANE

The Huawei P20 Lite update has been pushed via EMUI 9.0, ANE in a phase-wise manner. So, it might take couple of days or even a week to appear on each and every huawei device notification bar. So, either you can for the EMUI 9.0, ANE update follow the "Update Huawei P20 Lite Android 9.0 Pie / EMUI 9.0, ANE"
 
If you didn't sign up for Huawei Beta program or you are not patience to wait for the OTA, then you can download the full firmware and flash the update via flashy tool to upgrade from Android 8.0 Oreo to Android 9.0 Pie on Huawei P20 Lite. The update is now live and available to download here.


 As per the statement released by Huawei, this update is an open beta version of EMUI 9.0 which lets interested users enjoy the early software features in advance and give feedback for improvement before releasing the stable version to the public. The current development is in beta so problems or bugs may exist. So make sure to back up the data on your Huawei P20 Lite before installing this update.


 Re-requisite:

Download Stock Firmware 




[1] Flashy v0.2 to Update Huawei P20 Lite:
  1. Download EMUI 9.0 Beta Flashy v0.2 tool and extract on your Computer.
  2. Download the stock firmware and extract it inside the same flashing tool extracted area.
  3. You need to Enable OEM unlocking and USB Debugging on your huawei phone.
  4. Once you have Enabled OEM unlocking, now open the flashy tool and run the Flash.bat file inside it.
  5. This will now flash the Android 9 Pie on Huawei P20 Lite
  6. That's Ok! Reboot your device and enjoy the Android Pie EMUI 9.0 beta.
  7. That's it! You have successfully flashed the update Android Pie.

[2] Dload to Update Huawei P20 Lite:
  1. Download the Update Package
  2. Recommended: Format the Micro SD card (This operation is optional).
  3. Now Unzip the Update.zip package and Copy the entire dload folder (with UPDATE.APP in it) to the root directory of the Micro SD card.
  4. Now turn on your phone, Open the dialpad and call ➔ enter: *#*#2846579#*#* ➔ ProjectMenu ➔ Software Upgrade ➔ SDCard Upgrade ➔ OK.
  5. Now select the Update.app that you moved to SD Card (root directory).
  6. Now you will see a screen which shows the installation process.
  7. Wait until the installation process completes.
  8. When the progress bar stop, the phone will restart automatically
  9. In case if you have the Data File and you want to flash it, then, first of all, delete the earlier moved update.app from the dload folder.
  10. then you can extract the second file (update_data_Xxxxx) from above and move the new update.app to the dload folder.
  11. Repeat the same 4-8 Steps above.
  12. That's it! You successfully Installed Stock Firmware on Huawei Smartphone.
